Sauna Benefits

At my gym, they have two saunas. One is a dry heat, one a wet heat. I could simply google to find out the benefits, but I'm more interested in hearing from people who have used a sauna regularly. Have you noticed any benefits relating to weightloss/fitness? Is it just for relaxation? Thanks!

  • Well I know it helps you sweat out toxins and whatnot but not sure about weight loss benefits..

    Any type of sauna is only going to help you shed 'water weight' which you will put right back into your body with anything you drink during/after ( you need water) it might make a difference over time but nothing too noticeable. Its great for your skin/hair. I can't stress the importance of keeping yourself hydrated when you do anything with elevated heat..... Either or; best relaxation for your minds and your body will thank you.
