There are 2 ways.
If you are taking a picture from the internet, you can right click it and choose 'copy image url', then you paste it in the topic. You then have to addat the end of the link.( except it has to be lower case)
If you are using pics from your computer, you will have to use a site like photobucket or tinypic. I use tinypic. Upload a photo and it will generate a link for you - says for use on forums. Copy it, paste it into your topic but make sure to change the IMG to lower case. Hope that helps.0 -

Make sure to use the IMG with the brackets and no spaces0

You have too much irrelevant stuff in your attempt. Just isolate the image portion.0 -

you have to right click on the image to copy the image url, not the web address
quote my post here to see the codes
which is basicly
just make sure IMG is img (lower case)0 -

YES! how do i do this.... please give full details idk what that means?...
It appears that you copy/pasted the full url from a google image search, which has lot of modifiers which are only relevant to Google. Perhaps you could elaborate, if I am mistaken.
The actual image result, buried in all of that, was this:
http://hy-vee-stores.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/flowrs.png
Basically, you just need the url for the image itself - http://example.com/somewhere/image.jpg
Common image extensions are jpg, gif, png.0 -
omg i must be slow haha because i cant do this.. when i copy and paste just the picture it is blank.........0

That one would have worked as is but for two things.. you forgot the [ img] and [ /img] tags.. remove the leading space inside of each bracket
[ img] http://list-of-birthstones.com/Pictures of Birthstones/Diamonds birthstones.jpg [ /img]
AND you have to edit it slightly... spaces aren't ideal in the URL because they are replaced in MFP by %20
so your actual URL to load a picture of the diamond is
[ img] http://list-of-birthstones.com/Pictures of Birthstones/Diamonds birthstones.jpg [ /img]
remove the leading space in each bracket and you get

to get JUST the "code" that will display the picture you right click on the picture that is displayed.. and "copy image location" at least in firefox that's what it says. then paste that location and surround it with the
[ img] [ /img] tags0 -

ok i got it!!!!! ty everyone who helped!0

if you can right click on the image in flickr and do the copy image location then yes you should be able to.. there should be options for sharing, that's the "point" of flickr and umm...photobucket? to host a picture so you can share it easily?
you might be presented with a few choices of links in the "share this"
you're looking for one that has http:// BLAH BLAH the host, your folder name, the picture name AND ends in a typical "image" ending... jpg, gif, png if you don't have "that" ending the system doesn't know you are trying to link to a picture despite the "img" "/img" tags0 -
