I understand that adding pumpkin to brownies and other such baked goods make it much healthier. And im all on board with that! Problem is..I don't like pumpkin. So my question is..can you taste it!?!

If you don't like pumpkin, applesauce is also a good baking substitute :)

It depends on what you are baking but I usually don't taste it when I use it.

    LOW FAT BROWNIES
    Any packaged brownie mix
    1/2 c. lowfat plain yogurt
Amount of water called for on pkg. directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine brownie mix, yogurt and water. Mix well. Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake 30 minutes; cool completely.

Pumpkin will have fiber ..... but these are tastey

Canned pumpkin and real pumpkin offer two different flavors, it could be possible that trying another variety of pumpkin, possibly one not packed with tons of added flavors such as cinnamon would help you to enjoy it more. If you are using real pumpkin and do not enjoy the flavor I'd suggest applesauce as well, works great!
  • mmm those brownies sound good!
