I was catching up on The Biggest Loser and love the idea of working out with a deck of cards. I need to share this idea for the people who do not watch the show. It is an awesome idea!!!
First of all you will need a deck of cards
The number cards = the number of reps
Face cards = 10 reps
A's = 11 reps
Next assign different moves to the different suits.
Of course Bob came up the moves since he is the trainer, but I think that since it is sort of like a game, maybe you should use your favorite workout moves to make it more of a reward. Here is an example just in case your having trouble coming up with your own. These are the two different version that I have came up with for myself.
hearts = burpees ( I love burpees!!! They are my all time favorite)
clubs = squats
spades = renegade rows
diamonds = modified v - ups
hearts = burpees ( why burpees again? do you have to ask? lol )
clubs = mountain climbers ( i do each leg coming forward = 1 rep, but to each their own )
spades = high knees ( once again i do each leg up as 1 rep but as again it is your choice )
diamonds = sit-ups ( not crunches, full on sit-ups! I felt like I needed abs of some kind in each version just to make sure it can be some what of a full body workout!)
Once again change it up, it is yours to do with what you want. Also if you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them. I am always up for change or something exciting. Let me know what you think or if you have anything to add.

I already have a suggestion.
To up the difficulty change the value of the face cards.
Jack = 11 reps
Queen = 12 reps
King = 13 reps
A's = 14 reps
or really up it and go crazy!
Jack = 15
Queen = 20
King = 25
A's = 30
All in all there are only four A's so it may not be that bad. Especially if you are really looking for a challenge!0 -
but what would the game be? blackjack, rummy, cheat, ****head, scabby queen, new market, snap, go fish, etc?0

I would think it could be any game you prefer where you are required to draw cards. He just drew the cards til he was out, and made them do whatever card was drawn. I loved that fact that you never really know what card you are going to get. That is the mystery, fun, and game to me. My sister and I were thinking of just holding the deck for one another and telling and coaching the other as to what the card was. If you complete the card it goes in a different stack than the uncompleted. At the end of each deck the one who completed the most cards wins. Eventually we will just flip cards for each other because we will love to just workout period and hopefully we will be finishing all the cards by then. We are limited on knowledge of card games, which is why I was hoping I could get some suggestions instead of just doing the whole flip and toss method.0
