My boss is taking me to lunch today, to TGI Friday's...any good, healthy food recommendations?

  • If you're ever apprehensive about eating out while on a diet, try a quick Google search for the place your headed to. I.e. "tgi fridays nutritional information". You get a couple websites and or lists that will breakdown meals and their contents allowing you to choose what ever food fits in your diet.

:Edit: Some restaurants are better than others but most of the information for food contents are easily accessible now.

I looked and the lowest cal and fat is the soups and salads. although the wedge salad I would stay far away from!

I worked at Friday's for many years, until just a few months ago, so my info should be accurate. They have an "under 750 calories" menu. Ask your server for details on what is under 750. Any entree that offers you a choice of two side, get the slaw and broccoli. If you get the petite sirloin, get it without maison butter, and choose the sides I mentioned. There is also a chicken dish and a salmon dish, I believe called Kung Po chix/Salmon. Both are good choices. STAY AWAY FROM THE SKEWERS! They sound like they would be healthy, but aren't. And if you get a salad, choose the ginger lime dressing, if they still have it, is not horrible, or choose the low cal balsamic. Do NOT get honey mustard, it is the highest in calories of all the dressings.
