    It's on my profile picture...I opted out for diamonds...this is a Montana sapphire and we found this in a pile of dirt from the mine together...we had it cleaned and cut in Hong Kong (the jeweler mails them out and it takes roughly three months) my boyfriend then had it set and purposed February 10 2011... I think it only costs us around 300.00 for everything and it's extremely sentimental!!! Good luck!!

    My husband and MIL custom made mine, bought the diamond loose and the sapphires are from Tim's dad who passed away when he was 11.

    Coming up on our four year anniversary on February 2nd. We got married on the beach in Mexico and are headed there on Sunday!

    My engagement ring came from an antique shop in Essex, Mass., and is roughly 80 years old. We found it together. My wedding band came from Florida via the magic of the Internets... you'd never know they weren't a set! It is a century old, with five mine cut diamonds. This photo doesn't even do them justice, they have such fire in them. My husband's ring is white gold, and contains images from the Ardagh Chalice (from the 8th century, believed to be the oldest intact relic in Ireland).

He got it from an old hobo who was panhandling for change outside of a gas station, as a thank you for giving him some money. I knew then if I married him, I wanted that ring remade in white gold with diamonds added, as my engagement ring. So four years later, he proposed with this replica that we had custom made:

    Your engagement ring looks just like mine. I got a plain white gold comfort band for the wedding ring, too. I picked both of them out - I wanted something very simple and pretty.

    Edit: wow, that's huge. tried to resize.

    Thats similar to mine, and we got married in May at the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica :)
