Saw this on my feed today from a friend and it is so true. So many times I hear the same old "oh, but there is just no time in my day" posts on FB, on here and the above statement hit the nail on the head

Very true!!!0

I agree! However, people who say while on something like facebook (or even this site) that they have no time to exercise are just making excuses. If you want something bad enough you will make the time to get it done. 10 minutes a few times a day is better than nothing. While what others do doesn't affect me, it is irritating to me when people say they don't have time to work out (or clean the house, or cook, etc) when they watch TV, play games, use facebook, use the computer, etc. It is just people making excuses.
I facebook while exercising... it's my motivation to exercise more.
I can use facebook, and the various games on my playbook and nintendo 3DS when I exercise or earn time from exercise. Good thing is it makes the time go by faster.0 -

Nope. I only go on Facebook at work. Boss doesn't mind me browsing the net. Boss WOULD mind me working out.0

Exactly! I can be on FB or MFP while in my office, but can't stand here doing jumping jacks and push-ups.0 -

no offense guys, but come on, when you're at work you're supposed to be working not on FB or here (in most situations at least). The point of the post was just to make the point that if you want something hard enough quit making excuses and work for it.0

don't worry about it. every thread will encounter snide remarks at some point. thanks for the little inspiration point though for the day0 -
If you have time for (insert activity outside of work that you do that isn't working out). You have time to workout.
There. I fixed it so it's not snarkable anymore. :P0 -
So true! I was a HUGE "But I don't have tiiiiiiiiime" procrastinator...now that I actually WANT to work out and have made my mind up to do it, it's easy to squeeze in a couple of 15 minute workouts a day, and that's while chasing 4 kids around! Getting on Facebook or watching an entire show is WAY more challenging!0

This is true. I'm so busy and stressed every day. When I get a moment to be on FB, MFP, or watch TV, it is because I actually need to unwind and relax from the stress. I force myself most of the time to workout because it's more important than FB.0

I can't run/jog/zumba lift weights if my thumbs are going a mile a minute asserting my opinions to people.0

Yeah, mostly when people say they don't have time for x, y, or z, it's just code for I don't want to do x, y, or z. Generally when you have a desire to do something you manage to find the time.
I used to make this excuse all of the time...don't have time to exercise. The nature of my previous job pretty much required me to be at the office from 7AM to 7PM, six days per week and on top of that, I'd usually get home and grab a quick bite and then head into the study for another couple hours before hitting the rack. Once I started examining my life I realized that, yes, my work was very demanding...but not to the point where I absolutely had to put in that extra couple of hours in every evening...usually just a couple days per week would have sufficed, but I was in such a habit of just doing extra work or trying to get ahead, etc. Right there I could have easily spent a few nights per week in the gym had I wanted to...or I could have gotten my *kitten* out of bed a bit earlier and worked out in the morning.
Yes, I was truly busy (and so thankful I'm out of that place), but if I had wanted to I could definitely have found the time.0 -
Not a thing to do with time, its desire, determination, and motivation, and choice. I really, really do not want to do my Insanity tonight, but i have the desire, the motivation and making the choice that this is more important to me than anything else I could possibly do.0

This is so true... Lately, I have too much time on my hands. My problem, though, is that my depression is getting the better of me. But... I'm fighting it. A lot of times, people are just way too lazy. Myself included.0
