Hey everyone!!
My name is Caitlin and I am new to Fitness Pal!! I am 23 years old and have now decided that it is time to get myself under control here!! I am getting married next year and getting our engagement pictures taken this summer so I want to look great!! Not only that my fiance and I talk about having children in the next few years and I want to be as fit and healthy as I can. Here are some of my goals that I know I will need support with!
- Cardio 5 days a week
- Slow down on the carbs
- Drink more water
- Less sugary juice!
- Quit smoking (smoked for 11years)
- Feel good about myself!

If you are really serious about quitting smoking there is book that you should read. I had smoked for 27 years and had tried many times to do so. I got into a new relationship and he also wanted to quit. He made the first step and did it. I followed with some dragging of the feet. He gave me an alternative, stop smoking or no more kisses. Of coarse he was kidding but I didn't know that at the time. I finely picked up his book that he had suggested that I read. I did, I smoked the whole time i was reading it. And, by the time i had finished reading it. I didn't want anther smoke. I fact i jumped in the shower right after wards to wash the smoke smell from my body. that was four years ago. The name of the book is" Allan Carr's easy to stop smoking".
For the carbs, remember that your body does need some carbs to survive. Good luck and congratulations.0 -
Good for you for having realistic goals set for yourself. You came to the right spot. There is a variety of people on here with various goals to keep you going. Feel free to add me as a friend and I will do what I can to help you get there. Congrats on the upcoming wedding and planning on starting a family....there is nothing in the world that can fully prepare you for children! LOL.0

My mom and dad quit smoking after like 50 years of smoking. They smokes unfiltered strong cigarettes and they just quit smoking before all this stuff they have come up with to help you quit. Dad had a couple of goof ups but he needed to give them up. My husband and I me (1 1/2 pks a day) I started smoking at 15 quit at 40. My husband 2 pks a day we just quit buying them to. You can't smoke what you don't have. I just had a hard time trying to figure out what to do with my hands. Learned how to knit. Good Luck you will do well0
