Hey girlies

I am looking to buy mac make up, do any of you use mac? :)

I've never tried the foundation before so I don't know what colour I'd get, I wanna buy it online!

Or, I've heard Bobbi Brown is good? Any recommendations? x

i've used MAC in the past, and I would not buy it online.

Foundation is something that needs to be matched at a store.. esp because they have so many options, that if you are not careful, it will look totally crazy.

Currently, I use Studioskin by Smashbox and I like it, but it is very drying.. so you have to make sure to moisturize and have a good skincare routine.
  • Dad106: True I'm gonna have to see which colour is best for me firstly. :) I'll buy the eyeliner stuff online as that's just black typical eyeliner!

go into a shop that sells mac, and get an assistant to match you to the right colour and ask for a tester. if you find you like it, and it agrees with your skin, buy the same shade online.

    I use MAC too :)
I have very pale skin so I usually have to use the lightest of every foundation.

I have used Bobbi Brown in the past but since a lot of foundations have a yellow tint it just doesn't go with my skin type!
The joys of being from Scotland and having skin that is pretty much blue haha!

    Their lipstick is also amazing.

I LOVE MAC make-up! I would suggest you go into one of the local department stores to "try it on" (to determine what shade is best for you).

I will tell you that the make-up is very "lite" and natural. It'a lil' "costly" but considering how long it last you, it's very reasonable. I LOVE MAC make-up. I only do the foundation and lip gloss--never been into to much of anything else, but I love MAC and ULTA. Good Luck!

Yes, you definitely need to go to a MAC counter/store and have them help you match your skin tone...it's too hard to match it perfectly online.

I also use Urban Decay, which I LOVE!

    http://www.peta.org/living/beauty-and-personal-care/companies/search.aspx?Testing=0&Range=0

The full list of makeup brands that don't test on animals can be found at the website I listed above.

If you look online there are various articles about it, they claim to have the same animal testing policies as its parent company Estée Lauder.

Some list's show that MAC does test on animals and some list's show that they do not. There is also a site where the company has been emailed and called about it, and it shows the conversations between the people and the company.

Now I'm confused because there are so many different answers.
