Chocolate almonds, red wine, and other health foods

Dark chocolate is an antioxidant, as is red wine. Almonds are full of healthy fats and are very satiating. I'm adding them to my daily menu, along with my green smoothies (dark leafy greens, berries, and chia seeds, plus other fruit), lean meats, whole grains, low fat dairy, and green tea.
What foods do you think aren't diet foods but are healthy and worth eating in reasonable portions without guilt?

Not sure what you mean by not diet foods? All wholefoods fit into a weight management programme with portion control, people who are the most successful at losing weight and keeping it off are those who change their habits for life not just a few weeks or months. Cocoa is packed with minerals, more worthwhile for many of us even than the antioxidants. Nuts, seeds and oily fish are the foods I consistently recommend people add to their diets.0

NHS Choices has a report on "miracle foods" in the media http://www.nhs.uk/news/2011/02February/Pages/miracle-foods-special-report.aspx0

What I mean by "not diet food" is that it's not something that I've previously considered to be healthy foods to include while trying to lose weight. Previously, I was looking for the lowest fat, lowest calorie foods, and chocolate almonds certainly didn't fit those parameters - so I'd quit my diet because I couldn't live with long term deprivation.
Since I'm trying to change and make healthy eating my lifestyle, there are foods that fit and are quite healthy (to my surprise) but don't feel to me like they "should" fit in a "diet." Maybe I wasn't so clear.0 -

Sounds like you have had a mini epiphany, great!
Very oily fish like sardines or mackerel should certainly fit into a weight management diet, the long chain omega-3s have been linked to reduced body fat in studies. Other studies suggest including nuts in your diet doesn't negatively impact weight. With any high fat/ high calorie food the key is portion control, interestingly many people fail to exercise portion control with low fat/ low calorie diet products and completely ignore many of the healthy eating guidelines.
My current favourite 'diet' snack is low fat soft cheese blended with nut butter, fat reduced cocoa powder and natural sweetener served with black forest fruits.0 -
