OK MFP friends, I need your help I can't seem to lose any more weight! I have lost 30lbs and had been losing about a pound per week which is what I set for my goal. I recently updated my info to refleck the weight loss which dropped a few but not many calories and I am still working out 6-7days a week. I'm not sure why I all of a sudden stopped losing  I am extremely happy that I have lost 30lbs but I am not done with this journey and I need to get back on track, I welcome any suggestions!! On a side note, it has been almost 3wks dealing with this, I actually gained 3lbs 2wks ago and have lost those but now I am just hovering at 168-169!:frown:

You might need to switch it up.. try a new workout or even a new recipe mixing things up tends to help because if you do the same thing all the time your body will just get used to it... Hope it helped!0

Try switching your profile goal to 0.5lbs per week for a week, eat a little more and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, try going down on calories to 2lbs per week. Many times that I had gotten stuck i just had to play with my calories a bit. It might help get your body out of the rut. Also, try switchiing up your workouts a bit to keep your body guessing.

You probably need to up your calories now...and maybe try and change your workout routine abit....
But I think its more your calories that you need to change....Try that for a while and see how that helps you

You might need to eat smaller portions meals six times per day. Don't change the amount of calories. Make sure not to drink your calories if you can. I would also recommend drinking green tea without sugar this helps me control my hunger. The most important thing is for you not to give up-- you have come a long way. Keep it up!!!!0

I only drink water aside from my 2 cups of coffee a day, can't live without it!! I have tried green tea to curb my appetite, I don't really like it plain though, I usually add 1tsp of honey to it. I will not give up, I know this is only one of the many bumps I will hit along the way!! Thank you for the encouragement, it is greatly appreciated!!0 -
I have also noticed that my body seems to get used to set routines or calories and then I plateau. Each time I start varying my calorie intake or exercises my body gets back on track again.
I have seen this advice often but if you're hitting the same calorie intake each day try upping it for a few days. You could also go 300 over one day, normal the next, 100 less the next and so on. When I keep my body guessing it always kicks in the weight loss again.0 -

Thanks for all of your replys!! I will try and temporarily up my calories, it is such a mind game though, to think of increasing cals to lose weight!!!! As far as workouts go I try not to do the same workouts, I am constantly switching it up because I get bored quickly!0

I was just where you are and I finally got over my stall just 3 days ago. Someone on here posted this thing from Cosmo magazine, you can see it one my recent forum posts on my profile. Its basically a list of things you can do in order to lose 5 lbs in a week. I'm not looking to do that, I just wanted to get over my hump, but it works. You pick four from the list and stick to them for a week. I'm sure you could do it for more than that, but I think I am going to switch it up each week and pick different things. My four commitments for this week were 30 min. of cardio every day, 36 lunges/pushups and abs everyday, cut out one thing from your diet (I eliminated candy), and drink only water. So far, since Friday, I lost the 2 lbs that I had gained and now I lost another 0.4 lbs so i'm finally losing again. It has been a month since I've lost any weight at all so this is huge for me and I think it could work for you too! Its worth a shot...best of luck...let me know how it goes!0
