BMR TDEE WTH?! Help please

Hi
so I keep reading about BMR's/TDEE's? I did this: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
but i dont understand what it means. can someone help please? these were my results.
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 1439
Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) 2231
Daily calories based on goal in step 6 1673

Hi,
I worked out the same information for myself yesterday evening as I was being told that 1200 calories per day would slow weight loss. Once you have worked out your TDEE, you should aim to reduce limit your daily calorie intake to between 80-85% of that figure. So try limiting your daily calorie intake to around 1900 and you'll start to see results. Staying around this figure will allow your metabolism to work and the deficit in calories will ensure weight loss. One pound of fat is 3500 calories so within 10 days you will theoretically lose one pound.

is total daily energy expenditure, it's the amount of calories your body needs to function throughout the day with whatever you input into the fields. with the work you do, the amount of activity you, your height and weight, so on and so forth
BMR
is the amount of energy your body uses while resting.0 -

I've been eating at in and around 1200-1300 for two weeks and have lost 3lbs but found it hard. Will see if upping cals helps as I am exercising 5 times a week.0 -

Correct. Like me 1200 seemed to be slowing down weight loss whereas people with the same frame and exercise levels as me are eating 1500 calories and seeing a steady weight loss week on week.0
