I once threw some salmon skin under the broiler - brushed with a little butter and salted/peppered. I swear it tasted like a McDonalds french fry. But I haven't had one in a few years so I could have been wrong.0

Made them tonight. Not exactly like French fries, and I wouldn't leave them in past 35 to 40 minutes, because some of mine were more than crispy, burnt, really. But I will make them again, because with some tweaking, they have the potential to be good.0
