Being the legal drinking age, finishing school and getting a new job that pays $$$$$ sort of went to my head. So the last few weeks I've been out almost every night, eating junk and getting white girl drunk with friends.
But now that schools starting up again soon I figured I should try to clean up my eating. The problem is, I'll still be going out probably every weekend at least once. Will drinking once a week (probably quite heavily. I guess. Depends what you deem "heavily") set me back too far?
I'm the type to go into a binge spiral when I stuff up one day. How could I stop this? :frown:
and don't tell me "Just drink water when you're out". I'm sorry. I'm 18, allowed into clubs and enjoy having a few drinks with my friends after work. So no.

Being a recent college grad I know what going out and drinking with friends several nights a week can do to you body (hence, why I am here now). I also know that it is a social think and obviously you want to be able to go out and have fun! It won't totally hinder your weight loss but it will probably make it a littler harder and maybe just slightly slower progress because of those extra calories.
I think that the best thing to do is plan ahead for the days that you know you will be drinking. If you are counting calories I would try to leave yourself plenty of calories for that day so that you can feel not as guilty drinking. This might mean an extra half hour of cardio, smaller meals during the day, or choosing lower calorie drinks. If you are making your own drinks you can mix with zero calorie mixers like diet sodas, crystal light, etc. If you are out it's a lot harder because there aren't as many low calorie options.
Trying not to eat when you are drinking is way easier said than done but those drunk snacks are probably a big portion of the calories you consume that night...so try to avoid those.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you (: I guess I shall just plan ahead on those days. And stay away from the greasy burgers I love so much when drinking xD0

I was going to say a lot of what summergirl212 said. Definitely leave yourself room for drinking if you know you are going to be doing that. Here is a link for "drinks that won't make you fat" I hope this helps. http://getdrunknotfat.com0

"white girl drunk" what does that mean?
" White Girl Wasted
Singing along enthusiastically to "Call Me Maybe" while pointing at people during the "Hey, I just met you and this is crazy" part. After the song ends, you start telling your friends (and people you just met) how much you love them. Then you steal some wings off of a strangers table while they're in the bathroom (probably along with their beer). The next morning you realize you were texting your ex the whole night and accidentally made out with a lesbian."
