I saw this on a gals page and I loved it. I forgot how much I love Robert Frost.....
"I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep"
What are yours?

I don't really have a mantra, but I try to recall a picture of my *kitten* from Oct. 2011 and remind myself that I want my 5K butt back. LOL0
-
get fit in the gym lose fat in the kitchen0
-
I can do ALL things through CHRIST who gives me STRENGTH!!!0
-
All it takes is patience and work!0

It's not a sprint, it's a marathon0

Forward is a pace.0

I do love Robert Frost too!
I keep saying ... You can do this!0 -
"I am stronger than my excuses"0
-
How bad do you want it?0

I don't have a particular mantra either. My motivation comes from remembering how I looked at 160 @ 5'3" (looked like a ball with a head, arms, and legs) and not wanting to become a diabetic (very prevalent in my family).0

A quote from my Dad: "If it's to be, it's up to me."0

"Five more pounds ..." I plan to "five more pounds" myself for a long while yet ... :-)0

The next choice you make is the most important one.0

"You won't die if you're hungry." I used to hate going to bed hungry but now if I've eaten my calories for the day, I'll get on with things without stuffing another cake in my mouth.0

Perfection is our goal, excellence will be tolerated.--Jay Goltz It's my life mantra, really.
I also like this stanza from the great poet, Jay-Z: "The pressure's on, but guess who ain't gon' crack (Ha, ha!)/ Pardon me, I had to laugh at at that/ How could you falter/When you're the Roc of Gibralter/ I had to get off the boat so I could walk on water/
This ain't a tall order, this is nothing to me/Difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week/I do this in my sleep".
When all else fails, I fall back on my own words; "All you have to do is not quit".0 -
When exercising my mantra is: Calories in. . . calories out. One for the kitchen is: if you bite it. . . write it.0

Nothing tastes as good as fit feels.0

Because I'm going to be a dad some day "be somebody you would be proud of"0

This has always been mine:
"Every choice you make about what you will put in your body and how you will move your body will either put you one step closer to good health or one step further away."0 -
Not really a mantra, but when I want to quit, I think of all the things I hate about being the weight that I am. And how good it will feel when I'm making progress.0
-
Mine is:
Losing Weight is Hard
Maintaining Weight is Hard
Staying Fat is Hard
Choose Your Hard0 -
If I eat it, I wil have to write it down!
40s will be the best years of my life! :-)0 -
You can have excuses or results, never both.0
-
One day at a time.0
-
Age is not an excuse!0

"Slow and steady wins the race" - Aesop
"I have the rest of my life to get this right." - Myself
"Try to learn something new every day" - My mother0 -
"I am stronger than my excuses"
I love this one0
