Ive heard good things about the Polar HRMs. The FT4 is like 70 bucks. Is it worth it? I'm having trouble spending that much on it! I've succeeded without one before but always wanted one. I feel like it would help my motivation having one now..

    They are slightly less than that at A**zon right now. I just bought a FT7 as it seemed to have a lot more options for only a little more $$, which should arrive tomorrow. I can't wait! If you do a search, here, you will see a LOT of threads about the different HRMs which might help you decide. Good Luck!

    I have the Polar FT4 and that helps me to evaluate correctly the # of calories I burn during exercice. MFP tends to overestimate my burn.

    I got the FT4 for Christmas! It is awesome! I love watching the calories rise as I work out and it helps to motivate me and get an accurate calorie burn. They are definitely worth the money. I got mine at Amazon for around 70 dollars.
