Hello everyone!
I’ve been using MFP for almost 2 weeks and, despite falling off the wagon at the weekend, it has most definitely helped me stick to my daily goal.
With at least 28lbs to lose, my journey isn’t going to be a quick one so I’m looking for new friends for support and mutual encouragement.
In particular, I’d love to hear from you if you want to achieve your goal weight by eating healthy (no crazy diets!!), enjoy cooking your meals from scratch and would like to swap new recipes

Hi! I've never been good with diets. Everything I've lost has been through sweating it off and eating home more often then not. It helps being vegetarian. I also increased the number of dance classes I take. I know that 1. It is something I will stick with because I love it - and 2. It tones me the way I want to be toned. (Lean long muscle).
Good luck!0 -
I can honestly say that I have never tried, nor plan to try, any faddy or crazy diets - to be honest it is what has put me off trying.
I do rate vitamins (despite some negative feedback) so even if they are a placebo, I'm game.
This diet will be all about reduction in moderation (and less booze). :drinker:0 -
Hi, we started about the same time. I'm also in the uk! I started losing weight 2 1/2 years ago. I've gone from 13st 10 at my heaviest to 10st 12 (maybe less - next weigh in tomorrow). But MFP has really helped me keep on track. I wouldn't worry about falling off the wagon for a weekend - it's getting back on the wagon that matters. I find I tend to drop about 1/2 stone, then try and stabilise at that weight for a few months before I focus on the next half stone. That way I don't feel like I'm constantly dieting and it feels kinder to my body this way. I also cook from scratch, so do let me know if you find any good recipes. My favourite in this weather is steak and ale casserole - very low in fat, high in protein and with a big stack of veggies - yum!
Good luck!0
