Protein proportion extremely low on MFP

I just looked at my Protein:Carbs:Fat proportions on my default MFP settings and found my Protein set at 15% - surely that is way too low?
Is this why I have been losing more lean than fat weight I wonder, despite focussing on resistance workouts to maintain lean mass!

Yes, mfp is too low. 1g\lb of LBM is a good minimum to shoot for.0

this had me rolling. I agree with others. However, if you are looking to gain lean mass, you need to consume higher amounts of calories. I set my calories to 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat. That should get you to about the 1 gram of protein/lb of body weight.0 -
I've adjusted my ratios to Protein:Carbs:Fat - 40:30:30 as I struggle with hunger on a deficit so I upped my fats.
Angry that I lost a pound of weight this last fortnight - only to find it was all lean mass and a fraction of bodyfat; despite doing intense bodyweight resistance and kettlebell sessions and keeping the cardio down - two swims a week.
I'll see how it goes now I've played with my settings.0 -
When I cut the first time I was 200 pro at my lowest0

:ohwell: Okay, help. What is LBM and how do I change my MFP diet settings to something that will help me eat to gain lean muscle?
I am lifting about twice a week. I know I need to get downstairs in the gym more often but ... well, I don't even have a good excuse. :blushing:0 -
Go to the "My Home" tab, and go to "Settings" then "Change goals" then "custom". You an go in and change everything individually. A word of caution, if you change one percentage on your macros, the others will adjust so sometimes you need to play around with it a little.0

Lean Body Mass. Your total weight minus your fat weight, (ex 200 at 10% bodyfat = 180 lbs of LBM)
You need to find your tdee and eat 300-500 cals over. 500 might be too for a woman. i have to go to the gym right now myselfbut I am sure other people can help more if needed.

If I eat 300 calories OVERmy goal weight TDEE - that's 1943 calories a day. Good Lord!
