Sorry (in advance) if this question has been asked. I don't know what word to put in the search field to check. Thanks.

How soon does fitness go if one stops exercising? Days? Weeks? When? I used to workout a lot but stopped for about 4 months, I've restarted again, but boy, what I used to do before which was easy is now tough lol

I know 4 months is a long time so don't focus on that. Just how soon does it begin to go?

Thank you.

I don't know how subjective this is, but I find that I start losing flexibility after a week and strength after about two weeks.

Not what sure what you mean by "go"?

If you mean lose your gains if you are talking muscle gain or add weight (fat) if you stopped your diet and exercise program then I guess the answer would be "it depends".

It depends on how far along you were when you stopped, what you stopped for (injury?) and what your body was like in the past. If you are new to fitness (or even not) it will still take months to get back to where you are. Remember, its a lifestyle choice and change. Hope this helps. Your body remembers, so just get back on track and you'll be back to where you want to be in no time.

If it makes you feel better, it returns really quickly. Certainly much faster than it was originally gained.
