Strength Trainin

I am wondering if you guys have any good suggestions for weight training at home? I go to the gym to use the treadmill, but I must admit I'm a bit shy when it comes to trying to figure out the weights and all that stuff. I'd rather do it at home. Looking if anyone on here has any good suggestions on home equipment to use or workouts that they do? I need to tone up

honestly? Ask a staff member for help. Many gyms will offer an orientation for newer members to become familiar with the different machines, etc. I go to the YMCA. They have a trainer and a fitness monitor on hand during most of the day, and they are there to answer questions and give guidance. What I did at the beginning is go up to the trainer and say something to the effect of " my chiropractor suggested I start squatting, can you show me how?". I started with the smith machine, and now I am in the regular squat rack.

If you have the cash, hire a trainer for a few sessions! Don't worry about what all the muscled guys in the weight area are looking at or thinking. I take my fat booty over there and do my stuff! If they need the squat rack, they can wait until I am done :D
