I use heart rate monitor (HRM) that has calorie counter ability.

a heart rate monitor is the most accurate way. i have the polar ft4 (about $60 on amazon). it's really easy to use and super helpful because it tells you if you're in your target hear rate or not.

I put 30 day shred down as 20 mintues circuit training which comes out as 198 calories which seems similar to what those with heart rate monitors say they burn.

We had this discussion last year when I asked the same question. Ended up agreement that is was circuit training - general 26mins.
    Hope this helps.

Before I got my HRM I used the circuit training general for logging my burn when I was doing the 30 Day Shred, but I would log slightly less than the amount stated as MFP tends to over calculate.

I just put down circuit training. Seems to be close enough.
