I am new to this site but not new to the world of dieting and weight loss. I am on a journey to lose approximatey 90lbs and within 4 months, I can gladly say that I am 1/3 of the way there. I've almost lost 30lbs! I can't believe it. I've never lost that much weight before and the crazy thing is that it keeps coming off steadily. I'm so happy and so inspired right now. I've inspired others at my job and in my family to try to live healthier lives as well. I think that is more gratifiying than the weight loss itself. Well, a little about me. I just joined this site yesterday so I haven't had the change to put up a bio or anything yet, but I am 28 years old, a full time mother of a very active 2 year old boy, I am a former smoker (I quit cold turkey on 01/04/10 - the same day I started my gung-ho fitness routine - Insanity....and I haven't turned back)...I've stuck with both of my resolutions so far of not smoking and eating right and working out.....I'm seeing great results and that just motivates me to push harder and continue to find ways to tweak my diet and workout performance to maximize my results. I am also working on my B.S. degree in Information Technology (so yes I am a self-proclaimed nerd). LOL. In my spare time, I enjoy reading more and more materials about dieting/lifestyle changes and fitness. I consider myself a great ball of knowledge and although I haven't completely reached my goals yet, I have come a long way and I have learned so much along my journey. I like to talk with others who are trying to reach their goals as well. I look forward to talking with other MFP members. See you on the message boards.

Wow, welcome and congratulations on your weight loss so far. I have been a member of this site before when I wanted to start getting healthy but as of Tuesday I have set my mind to it. I am determined to lose 50-60. I am also a mother. I have to children who keep me on my toes. I have a daughter who is 3 and a son who is 1. I am a smoker and I am trying to quit. I am down to 3-4 cigarettes a day from over a pack a day. So I am getting there. But hope to stop smoking completely by the end of May.0
