Anyone sodium sensitive out there

I am sodium sensitive and trying to lose weight. As you know it is in every food, even naturally in some fruit and veggies. Besides drinking more water, any suggestions from those who have the same challenge or not. I lost 1 pound with no extreme measures last week (exercise and logging) so I know I can lose despite the sensitivities.

I have tested high before but try to exercise and watch the sodium. I have my physical this month so I will see how I am doing.

I don't have blood pressure issues but definitely have to watch sodium...I aim to keep mine under 1700 but is hard to do! I try and drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and choose foods carefully for sodium.

I am. I have high blood pressure (not taking meds for it) and issues with bloating and edema. I try to stay under 1200mg/day, but end up going over sometimes. I have can have bloating and edama issues if I eat more then 2000mg/day, and if I'm not paying attention to potassium I can also have higher blood pressure too.

Salt effects water retention not weight loss. Your still going to be salt sensitive even if you lose 20lbs. Just keep going and don't worry too much about the salt in fruit and veg, it's the added salt that makes the numbers climb.

I don't have high blood pressure but I get crazy swollen if I eat over say, 2000mgs. Like, I can't wear certain shoes b/c my ankles are swollen.

Honestly, I just try to prepare my own meals (well, my husband does the cooking) and cut eating out. Every restaurant/fast food meal is well over the daily limit.

I am not that sensitive to sodium. But if I eat pretzels or someone adds salt to a food, or i have a lot of bread (because that has lots of sodium in it) I get very swollen, bloated and then I get a headache.
