Hi,
Started MFP at the beginning of the new year. Only down one pound. Weighed myself this morning. 187.5 on the scale. So, an overall gain. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me? Diary is open. Started at 1200 calories, started to up them yesterday, thinking I wasn't eating enough. Petite in stature, 5 feet 1 inch. 28 Years old female. I'd appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

Lots of processed carbs (also likely to mean lots of salt), no fresh fruit and veg.

I'll have to chime in agree with what the others have already said, unfortunately. You are just eating really terrible things, way too many carbs and sugar and just plain junk overall. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with candy or cookies or waffles and syrup as a SMALL part of a healthy intake, but where are your nutrients? Your body must think it is going to starve to death. :(

Try things like eggs, whole grain breads/pastas, oatmeal, unsalted nuts, string cheese, Greek yogurt, oily fish, and many many more veggies and fruits.

Yes, diet is awful!! Sorry didn't want to be mean, but cookies for breakfast, lunch !!!

Research about clean eating, most of your food should come from the earth or should have mother :)
Examples: steelcut oatmeal with some almond milk and banana. Broccoli, brown rice and chicken etc...

Ramp up on the exercise as well. Recommend 30 Day Shred by Jillian (free on youtube) and C25K from zen labs if you have a smart phone/ipad etc. But careful abt doing too much too soon, if you just starting out.

    Best wishes!!
