I have been off of the wagon all through the holidays and am in need of more friends/encouragment :-)...
Starting back slowly with healthier eating and work outs but feeling sluggish after all of the holiday fun and foods STILL!
I would love it and totally appreciate it if you all wouldnt mind sharing what is currently working for you... Work outs, foods, how much intake on calories, etc.
Thanks a ton! Happy Healthy New Year!
Please feel free to add me as a friend!

I have definately been off and on the wagon! lol I am back on the wagon and 2013 focusing on me! I am currently training for a Half Marathon in Feb. I am going to the Y/being outside (if weather permits) 5x a week to log in those miles.
Looking forward to being friends here and giving encouragement!0 -
The thing that has worked most for me is to not consider what I'm doing a 'wagon' that one must hold on for dear life to maintain.
Make small, completely manageable changes to your every day life (and I do mean every day). Find ways to incorporate a more mindful and goals-based lifestyle in to the way you do what it is you do.
I definitely was way more lenient and lax over the holidays than I should be to reach my goals, but I never had to "get back on the wagon" to renew my progress - I just said, "okay, holidays are over, time to tighten my habits up a little." I'm still struggling with keeping up consistent good habits, but the choices I make are ones I can sustain for a lifetime.0 -
I've sent you a friend request and feel free to add me. I was 4lbs away from my goal weight when I found out I was pregnant with my now 2 month old baby boy. :noway: Now I have to lose the weight I had just lost last year, plus 8lbs more.0

I made meal plans for 6-7 weeks that include breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Most of it is clean, whole foods with lots of fruit and veg. I have a grocery list for each week so I can grab a menu and run to the store and not think about things.
I'm training for a marathon so I also have my training schedule and have stuck to it religiously, partly because I have a blog that people are following and I feel I have to not let them down as much as not letting myself down, crazy as it sounds... so get yourself a cheering squad too!
I will also say, I go through pretty deep peaks and valleys as far as my motivation but since starting out the new year eating clean, fresh foods and very little if any meat (am working on cutting it all out) I've not had ANY dips and have tons of energy.0 -
I couldn't agree more with the person above me, its a change of life not on or off the wagon..or some people say a "diet". Remember one thing. It takes 6 weeks to form a habit. So start with making little changes 6 weeks at a time that are attainable. Baby steps defin. are key in making progress esp if you have a really large goal. Break it down into little milestones and reward yourself at each milestone...of course not with cake Maybe a pedicure or something like that. Oh and I am not saying don't have cake ever, everything is great in moderation or in you can spare the calories on it.
My fitness plan is that I work out 6 days a week at the gym. I take mostly Les Mills classes (Body Combat, Body Pump, CX Worx, and Body Flow) and Zumba. On the weekends I try to spend 2 hours at the gym if time permits. Friday is my normal off day. This is my typically ideal week, sometimes that needs to be tweaked things come up...u know life
As for the food part that was my biggest struggle. I don't think you want me to get into that we will be here all day. I just would say defintly portion size is a biggie. Also I tend to always be prepared if I am going out to eat. I look at the menu online first and see how many calories are in things. That way I go in prepared and not guessing. Also another thing about food, is am I really hungry or am I eating because I am bored....Hope this helps you Good Luck! Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like.0 -
Feel free to add me, I just make sure I plan ahead. I know what I will have for Breakfast, lunch and dinner and always have many snacks prepared ahead of time.0
