Hi all,
I will be doing a huuuuuge wardrobe sort out this week and I am going to have TONS (maybe literally) of clothes I will be getting rid of.
I am going to try and sell my nicer, more recent items which I do not want anymore.
Is this allowed on MFP? I'm not sure how I would go about it. I have never used eBay either so I'd rather try to get rid of them on here?!
Otherwise, if there are any UK initiatives (London or Essex based) which buy unwanted clothes I'd like to hear of them.
Of course I am aware of the "giving to charity shops" option but...I'd rather make money, haha
At ideas welcome x

You should try ebay! I sold some stuff on ebay a couple of Summers ago and made about £250! It was designer stuff, like Karen Millen, Ted Baker etc. Weirdly I made good money selling some Hush Puppy flat shoes I'd bought and never even worn, and also some Nike trainers i'd worn twice and they'd given me blisters.
I have to admit I made my sister do all the putting up pictures though and sell it through her account.0 -
I will have to give eBay a go. I have no idea how it works but it'll be a good brain exercise haha0

eBay is easy to use, if I can do it anyone can.0

I sell all my fat clothes on ebay .. Might aswell earn a bit of money for them, even if its just a little. It all adds up amd maybe your helping someone else, who cant really afford brand new clothes from the shops. As clothes are expensive these days!0

I ALSO SAW SOMEONE SELLING HER OLD FAT CLOTHES ON YOUTUBE0

Thanks for the ideas! x0

Try your local consignment clothing stores. I have made about $300 off my fall and winter clothes that were too big. What they didn't take I donated to my local Domestic Violence Women's Shelter. I will be taking in my too big Spring and Summer clothes into the consigment store in March or April.0

I've got about 35 items to sell but eBay is only letting me list 10 this month! Ugh! Anyone know why this is?! X0

It's probably because you are new to Ebay. If some of your items are the same size I would group them together. I have bought off ebay a lot and sold. I like easypeasy. You will have less fees for listing plus can charge more for shipping. It's better to charge more for shipping since it is not calculated in the percentage they take.0

Oops. Already done my 10 haha. It only told me when I tried to add a new item. Oh well.....lesson learnt.0

Why not take them to a tailor and have them taken in so you can keep wearing them?0

Because that will cost more than just buying new clothes which I actually want.0
