I'm new to the TDEE thing- have been trying it for the last couple weeks. I had a bad weekend- went out more than I though, and drank more than I should have- I know that's bad. The scale was up almost 4 pounds this week- I did the calculations, and even added a couple hundred calories to the weekend, as there isn't a way to for sure know how much you ate. I was still under calories for the weekk- but up the almost 4 pounds... I'm sure it'll be off, but was just trying to figure it out! Thanks for any help.

The scales lie. It's likely water weight. If you were eating out, you were probably consuming a ton of salt and now you're retaining water. Wait a week or two, and those pounds will drop off the scale.

I agree with the water retention. This is in the realm of TMI, but drink water until your urine is clear for about 3 days and limit your sodium intake and you will be fine (aside from running tot he bathroom every 20 minutes!)

Thank you guys! Will try and drink as much water as possible- and hopefully that's what happened :)
