Hi, I need a weight loss buddy too! Joined a couple of days ago so no weight loss to report yet. I have about 6 stones to lose, that 6x14lb for those who don't do imperial. I also have several weight related hea;lth issues, including high blood pressure, and arthritis. This is not a new problem for me, but I am dedicated to the idea that not only will it not hurt me to walk, I will be able to wear a two peice next time I go to Lanzarote!0

Stephanie (and others) - Please feel free to add me as a MFP friend. I have been doing MFP for just over a year now, and lost 80 pounds! One of the many benefits of MFP is knowing there are others going through the same challenges as you are, and it's great that we have a place where we can encourage and support one another.
I wish you great success with MFP, and hope you will friend me!

Feel free to add me. I don't have children but i do have a husband to feed that doesn't eat what i eat so i make two different meals. I usually make him something that he can have for leftovers the next day that way i'm not having to cook two meals every night. I'm very close to my goal and i will help in whatever way i can.0

I'm here for support, motivation and encouragement, too! It IS tough to change your habits! But it can be done! It's so much easier with friends who are going through the same thing. Let's lift each other up! Feel free to add me.0

Feel free to add me. Do you do the cooking? My husband has had to join in my new cooking style and food. I figure it's healthy for me so it can't hurt him.0

You can friend me too! I am 47 and have lost over 40 pound in 3 years. I am working on keeping it off now and eating healthy and staying fit. I have 6 kid's from 23 years old down to 3 years old and a meat and potato's husband. Meals are a challenge! But you can do it!!!!0

Sorry if this sounds rude, but what is so hard about losing weight when you're kids are grown? Do they not feed themselves or do their own chores? Why do they even still live with you if they are so old? (I am not trying to be mean, I am just curious) Your kids no longer have anything to do with your weight loss, they are grown, independent adults. You can't use them or your husband as an excuse. (Unless they have disabilities, in which case I apologize and take everything back)
Practice accountability, make your weight loss a priority, stay away from excuses, and keep committed! Get active (walk instead of drive whenever possible) join a gym if you can and lift heavy a couple times a week. get used to making small better food choices and gradually work up from there.
I prefer the "tough love" approach to my friends, but I am motivating and determined. Feel free to add me if you like, I can help keep you on track.
