Day 21 and I'm FINALLY hungry!

I've been on this new lifestyle for 21 days now. I am allotted 1380 calories a day. Most days, I feel like I have to force feed myself just to get close to that number. I used to eat one meal a day, typically when I got to work. It usually consisted of a Wendy's combo meal with a large sweet tea. I'm not even sure how many calories that is but I was able to function on that one meal a day. I was seldom ever even hungry. So going from one fast food meal a day to at least 3 healthy/semi healthy meals a day was a huge challenge for me. Most of the past 21 days, I felt a bit sick from the amount of food I was eating. It's healthy food though so I told myself it was okay, better even. Then, there were the days I was way off from my calorie intake because I wasn't hungry and just could NOT eat another bite. I have only had 3 fast food meals since I started. Two of those meals I still came in under 1380 and the last one put me well over. (Damn you Buffalo Wild Wings and your yummy burgers and Dirty Bong Waters!!!) I didn't stress though. Anyway, I woke up this morning, had my usual coffee and bowl of cereal and was full. This is the norm. I typically would make myself eat something around lunch time just to get in some calories but it would take me forever. Today, however, after a few loads of laundry, I found myself actually hungry. It was so nice to eat and enjoy a meal. Not eat because I had to but because I was actually hungry. So Yay for me and being hungry enough to eat!!

Thank goodness there is hope! Seriously...your story is mine. I'm on day 17 of this new lifestyle and although I've been sick the past few days with no appetite, even before that I was forcing myself to eat and hardly ever eating enough calories for the day after my workouts. I also was a one meal a day eater so maybe it just takes 21 days for your body to get used to actually eating regularly? Who knows, I'm just happy I'm not the only one struggling to eat these calories.
