Is a day of fasting a good way to reset your body's response to overheating?

I am scared, but I have to ask. Where the hell did you learn that? lol.
ETA: Oh, okay, auto correct issues..lol.0 -
Thanks for the advice all f you.0

That was my mentality as a stupid teenager. If I ate too much one day, I'd hardly eat the next. I don't recommend that at all.
If you overeat, exercise more.
If you overheat, hydrate and take a cool shower/bath.0 -

When I started this program I learned I wasn't eating enough to lose weight. My body was actually starving so it saved all my fat. I wouldn't recommend fasting personally just go back to your usual routine!0

There are many arguements on Fasting the best I have come across was on BBC by Dr. Micheal Mosely. I hope this link helps.
Eat /fast/ live longer.

Fasting is encouraged in clean eating, paleo, and other diets that incorporate cleanses as part of the routine.0 -

I'm glad you saw the humor, as it was not intended (at least in my case) to be "mean" or "bullying".
In all honesty, it's one day. If you blow it, consider it a lesson learned and start over tomorrow.0 -

I read an article recently on Wikipedia on benefits of fasting. Don't remember which article. But it was saying there had been some health benefits found to a day a week fasting. I don't think I could ever do it. IMO though I think if you actually did it you would learn some awesome self-control regarding food and eating.0
