maintenance workouts

I am 22 lbs away from my goal and workout 6-7 days a week. My question is : once i get to my goal weight how often should i workout a week to maintain my weight?

  • when you enter your weekly exercise amount (for example moderate 3-5 hrs weekly), into a tdee calculator it will show you how many calories you can consume to maintain your weight doing that amount of exercise. so you can change your weekly exercise and calories to where you feel most comfortable maintaining (for example lowering to light exercise if it suits you better). in saying this the more you exercise (and correspondingly eat back) the faster your metabolism will be. all the best:)

    oh ok...i was thinking of just doing 4-5 days a week exercise.
