Sick and working out

I've had the flu since Sunday and have missed my workout for 4 days now. Really sucks. I have missed it but I can barely breathe and fatigued. Was hoping by tomorrow I could get back into it.

Do you guys break when sick?

If you workout in a public gym please stay home as a courtesy to whoever else you may be germinating.

If you feel that bad, I would definitely break a few days until you are better! When I am sick I normally rest a few days! Hope you feel better soon! :)

Take break, eat what you're supposed to, and your body will love you!

Like stated above...IF you have actually been diagnosed with the flu, please please please stay home! If its just a bad cold then it's up to you. I know when I am sick working out makes me feel worse.

I feel your pain...I still walk some...been under a flu attack (I had my shot). I am exhausted and craving proteins and carbs. I been achy and sleeping alot.. I hope you feel better soon...
  • If it's the flu, I'd say take a break. If you have a fever even if it's not the flu, I also would not exercise.

When I feel a regular cold/sore throat coming on I try to keep my workouts and I feel that helps clear my system out.

If you are sick..the body is telling you to rest. Rest well and you will come back stronger when you restart your regime.

Thanks for the feeback. I'm not a gym goer so now worries about the spread of my germs. I'm pretty serious about staying home when the family is sick. My kids can attest to that, they will never get the perfect attendance award at school!
