Beginning strength training at home?

Can someone give me some examples of things to do at home? I've never really thought of incorporating ST from the start. I always figured it was something to do after I'd lost the weight.
Here's what I have access to.
3,5,10 lb dumbells
5lb kettlebell
1 band
treadmill
elliptical
various dvd's
What can I do with my body? Pushups, squats etc? Got any websites that give sample workouts? I guess I kind of know what exercises to do. I just know what order, how many days a week, how many reps/sets etc.

I have a Y membership, but it's not always easy to get the 2.5 year old out the door. Easier to do it at home while he naps0
