Looking for an alternative to calorie-rich sugary syrup? Try banana "syrup"!
Slice a large newly ripe banana, heat it for 1 minute in the microwave, and mash it up over your pancakes/waffles/french toast. It should have a gooey texture and spread well. Tastes just as good, less calories, more healthy! If you can get past how it looks, you should be fine. It tastes so good hot! Would also be great as an add-in to your mix or as a french toast coating. If you use it as a mix-in, this is a good way to utilize those "almost" bad/soft bananas. They mash easier and when using it as an add-in it's about flavoring not texture or coloring.

Calories: Depending on size of banana

It also makes those frozen pancakes/waffles a little more filling and fun.
Make your calories work people!

I've done something similar before and it was delicious! Instead of just bananas though I used mashed bananas, some pumpkin puree and mixed in a bit of vanilla protein powder. Yum!!
