Homeschooled for five years, but not anymore. Totally get the homeschooled life though :) Honestly, if you are looking for something to do inside, VIDEOS! There are some fantastic videos out there that give an amazing calorie burn! My exercises of choice are walking and stationary bicycle. I do the stationary bike, which we got off craigslist for 50.00. The calorie burn is awesome! I would encourage anyone to walk with their homeschooled kiddos, just keep them active somehow!

I picked up Leslie Sansone ( I think thats how you spell it) Walk Away The Pounds, for ten dollars (new). You can do a 1 mile 2 mile or 5 mile. I know people who have lost almost all their weight with this DVD and calorie counting alone! Also, thrift stores tend to have great workout dvds, even 30 day shred (10 dollars new) and the like! The biggest challenge is commiting to press play!

    Feel free to add me!

I lost 60 pounds in five months, walking and eating well. This time I have to lose 100 pounds. I am down 11 of that this month already :D Pretty sure it wont be in five months. But I will be at goal in 2013!

I'm a SAHM right now and will be homeschooling my 2 little ones when they get to that age. I'm glad to see there are so many of us out there, I feel so alone with the decision to stay home and homeschool.

SAHM here and I school at home with an online school. Right now only one child is enrolled of my three and next year I will have 2. My daughter is in 2nd grade and I havea 5 year old and 1 year old boy. I lost 50 lbs before having my youngest while I schooled at home but having him has thrown everything out of wack. He is so high needs.

I homeschool my three kids. I have been on here since last March and have lost 58 lbs. I have done it all from my home so, it is possible. I am becoming healthy and strong and I love it. I would love some more fellow homeschoolers for pals.

I just want to say thank you to those on this thread that have responded to my questions about curriculum ideas and what you have found to be useful and vice versa!

Thank you so much!!! With the advice i have been getting and all the time i have put into researching everything i have heard i have been able to come up with a very extensive homeschooling list or resources and formulate a plan that i really think will make homeschooling something we can make work and still provide our daughter with a very good education.

Thank you all for your help. And please message me with any other resources any of you find useful. !!!!!!!!!

I'm one. :) We're secular, eclectic, with a mix of child-led and school-at-home. My son's a teenager now, we've been homeschooling since I pulled him out of horrible psK, and plan to continue till he graduates high school. (Only 1-2 years to go.) We're on slightly different sleep cycles so I'm able to get my workouts done before he wakes up and I have to be in "mom mode." Plus, it's less embarrassing to do workout videos (Walk Away the Pounds) when no one is watching or around. :)
