First day of the rest of my life!

Okay, here I go! I am not very good at sticking to diets or exercise but I am giving it another go!
55 and would love to lose at least 24 pounds. I read about this site in a magazine at the airport so it's time to do it!
Wish me luck!

Hello there! The food diary on here has made my weight loss efforts SO MUCH simpler than anything I've done in the past. I would encourage you to use it and make it viewable by friends as they will help keep you motivated, accountable, and offer suggestions. If you are looking for friends as motivational support, send me a friend request (click on my name/profile and you'll see the buttons to do that). Good luck to you!

I have been on and off again - trying to lose about 26 lbs. This time, I have decided to commit myself to one thing - logging onto MFP every single day. Even this week, I was over my goal on more than one day, but still lost weight - because having to log in everything I eat prevents me from going over the edge. I have a problem with "the all or nothing" state of mind. You may know it - - it' goes something like "Well, I've already goofed up for today, so...... I can eat anything" No more.
Anyway, I just turned 50. My husband and I live in northern WI. Kids are grown up - one still living in town and one in Afghanistan right now.
Add me as a freind - I could use the support, too.
  • I think the goal is a guide and not carved in stone! If we eat smarter and move a little and shake a little more we will succeed! Good luck!
