I'm a beanpole who hopes to gain weight and eventually improve overall upperbody strength. Any suggestions on how to adjust my food requirements accordingly????? I'm new and dumb about this stuff.....

Welcome,
Some people here think that the website is called myweightlosspal not myfitnesspal. Tracking what you eat is a good way to see that you are eating enough and getting the right macro and micro nutrients. There is a group on here called eat, train, progress that you may want to check out. This will lead you through calculating your TDEE and your macros. If you dont know what that means read this thread from that group.

Also a good strength training program will do you wonders. If you do not belong to a gym, you can do body weight exercises. Google would be your friend there.

The bodybuilders says 1-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight. Everyone is different and since I'm not a doctor or dietician, I'd say talk to your doctor first. Adjust your protein intake for sure. I'd start there.0
