I have been running in Illinois. The last two mornings the wind chill was below zero. Just layer, layer, layer and go for it....0

What she said (layers) plus I like to wear eyewear. The cold wind is a bit much for my eyes and they want to tear up. Fog resistant. Probably just as important are gloves. Your hands are exposed and will get cold extra fast. Something to block the wind and just a little insulation. I have a few different pair and can tell by sticking my head outside, which ones to wear. I also like to wear a hoodie which can sometimes cut down on the wind coming from the side. A hat or doo-rag/scarf is mandatory, but I'm close to bald. I've yet to use it, but I also have a neoprene face guard that covers the neck, nose and mouth.
2 degrees is pretty cold. Run slow and be safe!0 -
It definitely can be done, but you have to layer and wear gloves. It might seem daunting at first but once you get out there, it's not that bad0

There is no such thing as bad running weather, only running weather for which you are improperly prepared.
Good opportunity to put yourself in the more miles than degrees club!0 -
If you haven't been running, starting out in the bitter cold will do a number on your legs. It's safe to run in that weather but as cedder1 said, layer layer layer.0

I can't run a lot due to some physical challenges, but I did my best run in years recently when it was about 9 degrees out. I think I actually run better in the cold. The key is layers!0

I'm in Ottawa here, and I draw my own personal line at -15. Unless of course it's -15 and windy, making it feel more like -80. Then it's a no-go.
For instance, right now it's -32. And I am not running outside, nor have I been all week. Spinning is my friend.0 -
Good on you. Was also going to say layers make all the difference0

Don't forget to wear gloves you generate your warmth but it wont reach your hands0

Seriously layer up, and do not forget, hat, gloves and scarf, OTL you'll be too warm by the end but I started getting what felt like brainfreeze without a hat. /sorryifthatmakesnosense.0
