Anyone trying to put Lean muscle and lower Body Fat

Many people are trying to just lose weight where my focus is putting on Lean muscle, while reducing fat. I have a pretty good workout routine and with this site now able to keep my calories in check. Looking for supporters and friends to share workout tips and similar strategies, so if this is your game, add me.

I am at about 15% body fat, I think, and goal is to get to 10%. I get my calipers this week to do the skin measurements to find out for sure where I am at.

I'm a bikini/figure competitor, so gaining lean muscle mass and lowering body fat is ALL I'm trying to do! Lol, at least it seems that way sometimes. I'm prepping for another competition now. I'm also a certified PT, so I'm chock full of advice. Have a nice weekend! :-)

Same here. I've reached a point where I no longer want/need to loose weight and am focusing on getting stronger and more fit. Feel free to add me as well.

From everything I've read it's very, very, very difficult to both gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. To the point at which it's impossible for mere mortals.

I'd focus on cutting body fat while working to maintain you LBM. From what I can see, the cut/bulk cycle is the way to go to achieve what you are looking for over time.

No actually, it is easy if you workout intensively plus diet. From what I have been reading, too many people are focused on diet alone, and decreasing calories. If you don't workout with intensity and give your muscles reason to grow, losing weight is fat and muscle combination. If you focus only on losing weight, you are losing muscle along with it. The body doesn't care which it uses up for energy, if you are stimulating your muscles to maintain or grow. Another thing is if you focus on adding lean muscle you will burn more calories a day, about 60 calories per lb.
