Not losing the weight

I have been using this app for almost three weeks now. Completely changed my diet and exercise habits. I have started eating much more healthy foods, protein and long lasting meals filled with fruits and veggies and no junk. Things like eggs or greek yogurt for breakfast, homemade veggie smoothie for lunch and chicken or fish with salad for dinner. (just an example, not every day) I also have been working out a minimum of 4 days a week for an hour, usually more. I feel like I am doing all the right things in order to lose weight but it is not working. Not only am I not losing weight, but I have gained two pounds since I have started. This is making me feel really helpless like it is just not going to happen for me. Can anyone offer any insight or advice on why I am not seeing any results and what I can do to change that?

This requires an immense amount of patience. Keep at it and make sure you are being honest with yourself.0

You might want to make your diary public so others can see what you are eating /burning and give more specific advice. It helps.
It is very frustrating not to see the scale move. Did you take measurements before you started (waist, hips, thighs)? Sometimes you'll see more progress that way.
It took me two weeks to see any progress, and I was busting it food and exercise-wise the whole time. I was about to give up, but sometimes you have to work harder to push through.
Good luck!0 -
My first thought is that starting an exercise routine often results in water retention for muscle repair.
My second thought is that you don't have to change everything all at once. I've been here 2 years and I'm still working on some things. I feel like changing too much at once can lead to burn out, especially if the results aren't immediate, which they rarely are.
Be patient. 3 weeks is not long in the scheme of things.
Open your diary if you'd like more specific feedback.0 -
You also have only 10 pounds to lose. You are not going to be losing weight at a fast rate. Aim for 0.5 pound of weight loss a week.....the LESS you have to lose, the slower it's going to come off.0

You are probably losing some fat and gaining muscle, hence the 2lb gain. Give it time...
It took me 4 months to loose 7lbs and then finally 3lbs in 3 weeks.0 -

I agree with this, the less you have to lose, the slower it is and the better you have to eat. Make sure you are eating enough to fule your body properly.0
