My Weight Loss Journey Needs Help!

About 6 months ago, I went through a rough patch with my health. I ended up gaining about 20 pounds... on top of the 15-20 pounds I already wanted to lose.
I have been trying to get back on the wagon and start my journey, but I find it so hard! I end up falling for the food temptations. I want to be skinny. I do. More than anything, yet the food always seems to win... I need advice! I need to know your tips and tricks. What can I do to keep from letting the food win?! I look at pictures of skinny people (healthy people) and I look at old pictures of myself and I know that's where I want to be, yet I can't seem to get the motivation I need......
Any suggestions, comments, tips, etc. would be appreciated! I know how badly I want this. Not just to look good, but to feel good too. I just need to have more motivation and I can't figure out how to help myself!! Please help me!!

I can only tell you what worked for me, we are all different and our experiences will diverge. But I found that cardio was my savior, I started by walking fast 40 minutes a day (at 4mph), not eating those calories back and setting my goal to a loss of 1# per week. This resulted in more activity for me that saw the pounds begin to drop. Eventually I found that 40 minutes of walking was not pushing me and I upped it to 60 minutes and no occasionally get 80.
The key for me was to start with something that added to my calorie deficit that I could commit to, that was the 40 minute walk.
I know you can do this, you have the right attitude, just have to keep trying these ideas, don't give up!0 -

It's not going to happen over night of course. Start making healthy choices everyday, everymeal. It might be slow, but don't give up. Getting healthy is not a fad diet where you will gain it all back at some point, it is making a lifestyle change.0

It will take time,it's a sprint not a marathon and everyday you need to eat healthy and make good choices. It doesn't hurt to eat foods you like every now and then, but in moderation.Exercise, cardio and strength training will help you.
For me personally I eat pretty well,I just don't eat enough so I had to up my calories and it seems to be working for me.I'm one of those ppl that struggle to even eat 1200,but upping my cals and really making a conscious choice to eat more healthy foods is something that I should've done a long time ago,my body is cooperating too

Also, check this out: slimissimple.org Mind you, even though he looks to simplify things, Jonathan still brings it pretty intensely in that video, but overall the takeaway should be that being slim is rather simple, and we need not feel self-conscious or self-loathing because of the fact that our ancestors did it without trying. Rather, it's a sign that if we can just do whatever we can to get back to eating whole foods, reducing refined and processed carbs, supplanting them with fibrous, leafy green veggies, high-quality fats and moderate clean proteins, we'll be just fine, and slim, and healthy. I've tried it, and have had phenomenal success with it, so hopefully some or all of that helps you, too! Do keep us posted!0
