Anyone on Body Revolution?

Hi, is anyone doing the Jillian Michael's Body Revolution? I'm on week 1, already did the kickstart week and I'd like to get some other peoples input about this particular program

I just dl'd it and was going to take a look today how it works etc...

I will probably start this afternoon or tomorrow and see how it goes!

    How did you find it?

There is a group, look for Jillian Michaels Body revolution and join!
  • Ooh, I'll be watching this thread because my DVDs arrived yesterday - although I'm waiting until I finish 30ds before I start it.
  • I did the 30 DS. It's a really good workout but it's only really effective if you follow a low-calorie meal plan.

    As for Body Revolution:

The kickstart week is HELL but worth it. I was starving, thinking about food 100% of the time BUT by the end of that week I already felt less obsessed with meals.
The workouts are easy compared to any other JM's DVDs. I did 30DS, Ripped in 30 and two weeks of the 6w6p (tough workout that I really recommend).
Anyway, it's a long term comittment and I like that but following the meal plan can get tricky. I'd love to hear from people that are doing the end of phase 1.

It is good for fitness but will be outpaced by a bad diet.
  • Bad diet? Please elaborate

I just started Week 2. I'm not doing her diet plan though. I find I'm using much heavier weights than they're showing, and I'm hardly some hard core lifter. It cracks me up to see those big guys doing lat rows with 8 lbs.

I like it because it's quick and convenient.

I just want to crack up everytime I see one of those ripped guys using an 8 lb weight. I used mostly 10 and 12 lb weights when I did the program.

I started earlier this week but skipped the kick start and am following a 1200 calorie low carb high protein eating plan. So far I've done workouts 1&2 and had to have a day of midweek so will probably have to switch my rest day from time to time.

Having said that I am determined to do the full 6 days per week, just a little concerned about injury as I have a knee that sometimes plays up but we will see. I am also unsure about what weights to use for each exercise but so far used 3,5 & 10lbs.
  • I'm actually waiting for my DVDs to b delivered!

I'm in Week 9 and I love it. It gets increasingly harder, but she builds you up as you go. I really love that it's only 30 minutes a day.
  • Monique how have those 9 weeks been like? I'm not really concerned about the excercises, that's something you just have to do, but the 1200 kcal meal plan is just killing me. Does it get ay easier along the weeks?

Hi, I on My Fitness Pal and doing Body Revolution. Finished KICKSTART, WEEK 1, just about finished WEEK 2.
Got a problem, cardio, "running man". Think after a fall off the bottom step. From landing on a dog toy, I might have torn ACL in right knee, waiting to get results of X-rays, them off to specialist. (Like in about two months that is).
Does anybody "with any expertise", in the knee injury area, have any suggestions on what I can do instead of running man, the jumping from foot to foot, during stationary running not possible. Tried doing 40 walking lunges, but kind of hard too.
    Any suggestions?????

I start Phase 2 for the 3rd time Monday! I have had amazing results just from doing Body Revoultion (plus some extra cardio) and using MFP. Feel free to take a look at my before and almost after photos on my page.
If you stick with it and give it your all you will have great results.
It never gets easy if you push yourself. Now on my 3rd round I use 10-15 weights and the more advanced moves and I am still dying as much as I was the first time around.
    Good luck!

    sieibo87,
Omg, how I long to be where u are, but I will preserve. Down 15 lbs, and 12 3/4 ". Yeah and goal now is 42 more lbs. I'm already doing the cardio and strength everyday, and on cardio days have thrown in Jillian Michael's AB video. When done, in another month, (on wk 9). Going to try Ripped in 30, and abs. Then back to the gym or will repeat BR, with heavier weights. I so proud of ur accomplishment. Longing to be where u r!
