Only good if you suck the heads. And the beer should be Dixie.

I actually really like some Abita Strawberry with crawfish. The sweetness goes well if you've got a nice spicy boil on.

I eat quite a lot of the following, which I am told by my town-dwelling contemporaries is 'weird':

    Rabbits,

    Pigeons,

    Venison.

When I was a younger, poorer man, I used to eat a fair few squirrels too.

Definitely crawfish!! Including the heads! Grilled oysters, stuffed crabs. Almost any seafood. Rabbit stew. Although, I don't think anyone would really find this stuff particularly disgusting.

    Cool.

I imagine I wasn't the only one that thought of this, upon reading that:

    rabbit stew. delicious.

Nobody seems to eat much rabbit these days - which is odd cos the little buggers are everywhere.

The main reason I stopped with the squirrels is that they are a pain to skin and you dont get much on em.

MIght be regional. They sometimes have rabbit at my local grocery. And it's a pretty big chain (Kroger).

    - Menudo, a soup made with beef tripe (stomach lining of the cow)
    - Tripa tacos, made with pig intestines (must be well-fried, crispy)

This just made me really homesick. And yes, please to both of the above! There used to be a food truck back home that catered to the nightclub crowd that made the most incredible tacos de tripa - my friends and I used to go out at 2 or so and get them whether we went dancing or not. So good.. *drool*

Some of the butchers still do them or restarted after some foodie types started cooking them on telly. They like them to be ferreted, I think (no shot in the carcase), but I hear they want £4 each for em! I've never actually paid money for one in my life, but it could explain why people dont eat em as much.

    The meal of champions.
whats your favorite meal that some people would find gross and/or odd?

Your meal works for me, I love all three. Soft shell crab po-boy, too!

ALL OF THIS. With a side of rabbit and sausage jambalaya from Coop's.
