Is there anything that you don't log?

Coffee and spices are the things I don't log.0
-
Log EVERYTHING - that's why this site works - otherwise stuff creeeeeeeeps under my food-radar like it did for the past 60 years or so0
-
I don't log tea because I usually drink it black, but this morning I had a chai type that I felt required milk and I added probably half a tablespoon and didn't log it. Living dangerously!0

I have a tendency to be a bit obsessive, so I think it's better for me not to log absolutely everything. The things I let slide are under 20 calories each: a teaspoon of salsa on my morning egg, a squirt of ketchup on a burger, the occasional cup of 15-calorie sugar-free cider (I log it if I'm having a snack with it, but not by itself), the hard candy my son slipped me as an apology for not being there waiting when I went to pick him up. I don't do more than 2-3 of these in a day, if that, and figure they're well covered by the 100-200 calorie buffer I usually leave at the end of the day.
I totally understand that for some people it's vital to log every calorie, especially if they're new and/or struggling. I'm just trying to keep my native obsessiveness under control.0 -
Sometimes I do but I usually don't log my water, coffee and tea. If it has calories, I log it.0

Ketchup and my coffee.0

I don't log seasonings, esp since I cook almost everything from scratch. It would take forever. I also don't log coffee/tea or splenda. Sauces i do log, as they tend to be high sugar. Oh, gum I never log, or any other sugar free candies.
Yesterday, in passing, I grabbed 8 snap peas and 1 almond. I didn't log those.0 -
I don't log water, diet soda, tea with artificial sweetener. I usually don't log ketchup or mustard because I use such a small amount, and things like grated carrots or cucumber slices on a salad, or the lettuce that's on a burger or taco. Minimal amount of calories and so NOT the reason I gained weight!0
-
I don't tend to log drinks, mainly because I can't be bothered. Sauces I'm a little hit and miss. But try and log everything for main meals and snacks. I'm set at 1200 calories, so I'm probably not logging a 100 or so of extra calories each day, but that 1300 is about where I think my intake should be anyway, so figures it all evens itself out!0

I don't log coffee or tea nor the coconut milk I add to it. I think I log everything else though. Sometimes, I don't log lettuce or spinach, if its just like a little bit, like .156 of a calorie. I try to be reasonable with all this.0

I specifically log the skim milk that I put in my cereal. But I'm also very interested in the amount of protein and calcium and vitamin D that I'm getting through food, and that's all in the milk. It might not be a heck of a lot of calories, but they are there. And those other components make it definitely something that I value logging. I use exactly 1 cup. 86 calories, 12 grams carbs, 0 fat, 8 protein, 30 calcium, 120 IU vitamin D. That's worth knowing to me! (I guess by that logic, I should be logging my multivitamin, D3 supp, calcium supp, and fiber supp...but I don't)
I don't log tiny sucking candy type things. The teeny tiny Dum-Dum lollypops at my allergists office, a couple of Lifesavers, a cough drop, etc. I know it has to be full of sugar, but I just don't see it as real food, ha ha.0 -
I don't log the light cream I use in my coffee. I usually drink green tea with nothing in it, but when I do have coffee I use stevia and cream and call it a treat. I'm always under my calorie goal so I don't feel I have to account for it. This also helps my mindset as I think "See, I don't have to be perfect to keep losing!"0

Anything under 10 cals, like green tea, effervescent, mustard, herbs and spices etc.
Can't be bothered to go through the trouble.0 -
I log everything except the air I breathe.
I log everything. Something may be 0 calories, but have other things in it I want to track (especially sodium).0 -
I log everything except the sweet & low I put in my morning coffee and the spices I use, which is pretty much garlic powder, salt & pepper. I do log ground cinnamon. OH, and I also don't log my Pam spray. I do realize it has calories, I just can't get my head around counting a spray!0
-
I do log everything, including spices & my herb teas. I've learned some of my herb teas also have potassium in which I am tracking. Logging in my spices also has taught me that certain spices have other nutrients in which I was totally unaware of. It's been educational!! I log my herb teas knowing they have 0 calories but I count my herb teas as my 'water' input. It helps me track the amount of water I'm drinking. I struggle drinking just plain water....so herb teas help me accomplish that goal. And I drink my herb teas plain......no honey or sweeteners  .0

I log pretty much everything as I find the act of inputting calories is helping me lose weight. Still early days though.0 -
I don't log a lot of spices. The way I cook it would be to hard, MFP doesn't have a setting for a dash of cinnamon or a palmful of chili powder. I also don't log the unsweetened herbal tea I drink, actually I count it as water throughout the day.0

I really don't think it's necessary to log things that have zero calories! I was wondering why some of my friends logged vitamin pills etc, but I see that someone said it was to remind them to take them - fair enough I suppose!
I do log my tea and coffee, as I take milk in them - but if I took them "black", I probably wouldn't bother.
I agree that things under 10 cals probably aren't worth logging. Not good to become too obsessed! If your weight loss hits a plateau though, that might be the time to look more carefully at what you're not logging, just in case it's more than you think. But as someone else said, if you're losing weight, you must be doing OK!
I've had loads of dieting attempts over the years, and in the past (before joining MFP) I never logged any drinks (even with milk in them) and I also never logged green vegetables at all! This was because most slimming clubs class them as "free food". It's been quite an eye-opener to see how many calories some of them actually contain! :noway:0 -
The only reason I log my multivitamin is because I watch my nutrients on here like a hawk, trying to monitor my calcium and iron.
I take fiber and other supplements, sometimes 35 calories worth a day. I do NOT log in most things that have 0 calories, but I do log in sugar free gum and ANYTHING that has a calorie.
All these under 10 calorie things add up, they can easily add up to an extra 100 calories a day. That can make a difference in weight loss, or non weight loss.0 -
I don't log my supplements, or gum. I see quite a few people on here who log gum. I don't have it all the time and I figure the 5 calories its worth I've more than used chewing the thing.0
-
Sometimes ill have a glass of full fat coke as a treat and im a chef so i dont log taste tests cause i dont log work as exercise so it balances out, but almost everything i log, thats the point of mfp0
-
Garlic, and the like. I don't *think* it has many if any calories, and really.....if I put 1/2 a teaspoon into a recipe for 6, how would I even put an accurate amount in? haha0
-
I log everything I consume, even the zero calorie Coke Zero I love. I do not log any calories I burn doing things I did regularly while "FAT" (i'm still fat but in my mind that's how I separate pre-dieting and exercise me and me today).....like cleaning my house, walking my dogs, checking the mail, shopping, walking while at work for work related purposes, blah blah blah. I really don't understand why people log those sorts of activities; it seems they are trying to get more "exercise" calories to eat back but I figure if it didn't keep me slim doing it before then I shouldn't be eating it back now.0
-
As of right now, I don't log the raw veggies I eat at lunch during the week. I also don't log weekends. My plan is to reevaluate every 10 lbs. I know as the pounds come off I will need to be mindful of the little things because there is less wiggy room.0
-
I don't log everyday coffee that I make at home. I don't log anything I drink other than water.
Uh...I sometimes eat things that I have no clue what the cal content is so..I do the quick log.0 -

I am maintaining and I find if I don't log extra long shopping sessions, long walks and spring cleaning the house and eat the advised calories back then I start to lose weight again. Not everyone is trying to cheat the system by logging these activities.0 -
I don't log the artificial butter sprinkles I use on my veggies and I don't log the crystal light I put in my water bottle. That's it.0
-
I log my vegetables even the carrot. It has vitamins and even if i don't look at the moment i may want the historical data.
Also shows a balanced day.
I try to watch that i eat the right number of vegie serves per day.
I forget the sauce most often.
Stopped logging water.
it's ok, i get the hang of it. drink water0 -
I log most everything; exceptions include mustard, water, unsweetened tea and other food which has minute amounts or no calories. I log my supplements because they are between 30-50 calories a day, plus I want to track my nutrition. I do not log "tastes" when I'm cooking, etc. nor do I log the occasion piece of sugarless gum or a quick swig of milk which is rare.
Exercise-wise, I do not log weight lifting days nor do I log things like cleaning house, raking leaves, etc. I only log things like boxing, battle ropes, rowing machine, treadmill (basically, cardio).
I have learned the hard way that I lose more by eating more calories than less. Seems my sweet spot is between 1500-1600 calories. I aim for 1450 but generally am a little over. I figure the minor amounts not tracked with mustard, gum, etc. are less than 100 calories so I'm still within my range and considering my 101 lbs lost in the past 13 months, I think I'm doing something right.0
