Omnivore actually, one who consumes meat and plant. Carnivore would denote someone who ate only meat.0 -
And the point of this post issssss........0

Lots of people get all these terms confused. I don't really see the point to all the labels. Let people eat what they want and live with their choices.0

I am vegetarian. I don't eat meat, fish, any of it. I always kinda of laugh when people say "I'm vegetarian, I just eat chicken sometimes." lol What?0

One can make a good case for vegetarianism, but veganism is extreme IMO and I think people have control issues.0

People have said "Oh, so how about fish? Do you eat fish?" No fish, chicken, duck, cow,.lamb, elephant, snake,.... nothing with a face.0 -
Lol, me neither!
But technically..vegetarians can eat fish ( I just never have because i think its gross). They don't have lungs. They are not considered a mammal. Thats a reason why people can eat fish during lent.Just thought you should know!

It's a living creature with heart and brain, that sums up animal for me. In nearly 25 years of vegetarian living I've never considered fish to not be meat. Pescetarians eat fish, plant & grain based.
Of course not that any of this matters in light of the hysterical giraffe pic the OP shared. :laugh:0 -

I think there are a lot of different ideas/definitions floating about on this topic... not sure why it matters to determine levels of etc... at the end of the day, a person CAN eat whatever they want and find it somewhat amusing all the various terms that have come into existence to explain it all.... one of the most hilarious is flexitarian to describe someone who sometimes eats meat at a meal and sometimes doesn't. I think that describes a large portion of the population (think folks who eat a salad for one of their meals...)lol.
As for my understanding of the difference between vegetarians -vegans .... vegetarians, no animal flesh including fish, vegans no animal products whatsoever (including whey, casein, honey, etc). I tend to stick to a vegan diet BUT do eat honey and bee products (perhaps that makes me a beegan) ; )0
