I know that my lungs get irritated when I exercise in the cold air, but it's not cold outside. It's a beautiful day but when I tried to go for a jog, my lungs hurt and now I can't stop coughing. Does anybody know why that is?

Have you ever been tested for asthma? Coughing is a sign of asthma.0

Spring time = pollen, mold, dust, etc. so maybe one of those is triggering your cough. I had this same issue in college when I first started running. My lungs weren't used to the cardio and the coughing worsened in cold weather and when spring came around and everything started blooming. Sometimes it'd last a couple days - that was annoying. Now that my lungs are used to me running they can handle the cardio and I don't cough anymore, even in cold or spring. Give your body time to adjust and it should eventually go away.0
