am I working out wrong?

Hey guys, I have a question. I got a new elliptical for my birthday. It got a HRM and 20 different workouts and personal trainer on it. That means I can vary alot with my workouts. So Im getting on it 2 times a day but only for 15 minutes, 7 days a week. Afterwards I am doing situps and pushups. I am eating around 1200 calories a day plus the extra calories I am working out. I drink atleast 4 bottles water a day. Am I working out wrong or is this ok, since its only 2 times 15 minutes a day. I mean it makes me feel way better but I dont want to overdo it and maybe dont get the results I want(weightloss).

Are you saying that you are afraid of overdoing it on an elliptical? I doubt that it is possible.
15 minutes twice a day is pretty minimal. Push-ups are great but you really should up the time on the elliptical per session and/or add some more intensive exercise.0 -
no I mean, doing it every day. I am not overdoing it with 30 min a day I know, but I heard you should give your body one day rest. I walk my dogs every day:) I have a implant in my spine and need to make sure Im not doing anything thats bad for the back in any way. So I found a good solution with the elliptical0

It does not sound like you are reaching the intensities which would require a rest day for muscle repair.
Are you experiencing any joint or muscle soreness? If so, then yes, add in a rest day, once a week.0 -
well the weight loss program is pretty intense, so I feel my legs on those days. but thats about it. so I am good with doing it every day? Thats what I thought! I just wanted to prove my husband wrong:) Thank you0
