How I got here

Hi! I am new to this site and I am really looking forward to having it as a resource on my journey.

I have always battled with my weight but the past 7 years really did a number on my health. I have two children 8 & 6 during my first pregnancy I gained 70 pounds but after my son was born I was able to shed the weight. Pretty much right when I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight I got pregnant again and gained another 70 pounds but this time the weight didn't come off and on top of that was the stress of working a demanding full-time job, having a toddler and infant, financial problems, and a partner who works a manual labor job so when he is home is not much of a support and I was eventually diagnosed with a form of depression and put on medication to help me get through my days. So the reality of it was that there was no time for me to begin with and then I turned to food as my comfort. So here I was 115 pounds overweight and fighting tooth and nail to get back to my "old" self. Last year (Jan 2012) I quit my job to become a stay at home mom and honestly it took my body the entire year to decompress. But it is great to finally have the time to take care of myself and my family. I did manage to lose 15 pounds in 2012 and now my goal for 2013 is to get the remaining 100 off. As I go into my second year of being at home it is amazing how much better I am starting to feel and can slowly see the "old" me starting to come out again. My doctor has taken me off my medication and I am on the path to a healthier me.

Now that I am at home all the time I don't have as much daily support so I would love to have some more friends who can relate to what I am going through; so please add me as a friend and I will support you as well.
