How many calories in a teaspoon of green pesto?

I've tried searching but I can only find grams or tablespoons.

Should I say about three tsps is eqvuilent of a tablespoon?
How many grams of pesto is a teaspoon?

    Water has a density of 1 gram/ml. So a 5 ml teaspoon of water weighs 5 grams. Other things have different densities and you'll get an error. For many foods the error is within 20%. If you accept error, then use: 1 gram approximates 1 ml.


    Do you have digital scales?

    I'd say 2 teaspoons to a tablespoon, just judging how pesto sits etc...

    According to to one homemade pest sauce rating on MFP, 1/4 cup of pesto sauce is 230 calories.

    1/4 cup equals 2 ounces

    1 ounce would equal 115 calories

    1 US fluid ounce = 6 US teaspoons (or two tablespoons)

    1 teaspoon = 20 calories

    Of course, if you use a different calorie rating for your pesto sauce it will vary.
