HRM vs MFP

New user of a HRM and I've noticed a pretty big difference of what my HRM moniter says I burned versus what MFP says I burned when I log my exercise. Today for example I did 30 minutes of Elliptical and HRM says I burned 486 calories but MFP says I burned almost 900 calories. From your experience, which do you go with?

HRM, 900 calories in 30 minutes is very unlikely.0

If you've set your HRM up correctly (height, weight, age, etc...) go with that.0

If you have a HRM with the strap, you should go of that. It has a more accurate reading. If not, MFP.0

HRM hands down. Set your age, weight, sex, etc and it's (IMO) almost 95% accurate..Gotta save room for error!0

my motto is never trust MFP.0

MFP has been close with alot of things, (going against my HRM) however, elliptical and a few other "machines" really seem to be overestimated on here. Id go with the HRM.0

Definitely HRM.0
